Russian alumni from ten African countries are uniting in Tanzania

The multi-format program of the Forum includes educational, cultural and social events. It will be delivered by leading Russian universities and companies, together with invited representatives of business, governmental authorities and leaders of alumni associations from ten African countries.

The Forum participants are given a unique opportunity to:

- take part in the round table discussions and informal meetings with experts and share visions and solutions for efficient Russian-African cooperation;

- establish useful contacts with Russian universities offering professional development and retraining programs;

- get the Russian professional development certificate by completing crash courses on the advanced education in science & technology and healthcare and medicine;

- learn about new joint projects planned by Russian business in African countries.

The official partner of the Forum is the State Atomic Energy Corporation «Rosatom». One of the central events of the program will be the round table discussion "Cooperation in science and education and the development of industrial and educational partnership." Relevance of the topic is explained by the active development of the African markets and business interests of leading Russian companies. A distinctive feature of the Russian approach to industrial projects in African countries is their multidisciplinarity: education and professional training of local professionals is an integral component of many industrial development projects. 

One of Rosatom's landmark educational projects is «Obninsk Tech».

«Representatives and graduates of the universities participating in the project are actively involved into the Forum events: today nuclear technologies are not only energy and efficient use of natural resources, it is also nuclear medicine, both therapy and diagnostics. Our events attract a large number of participants from more than 70 countries, and we are confident that this Forum will become an effective career platform for successful young professionals from Tanzania and other African countries».
